Irish Football Pez

I got some Pez from my son
When I turned sixty-one.

The Dispenser celebrates Notre Dame football
Which is currently in a freefall.

Notre Dame may lose, I may drown in my booze

But I will always win when it is Pez I choose!

Gadgetry

Hey, look at that new cell phone!
It's really got the stuff.
With e-mail, pics, and mapping…
Aren't calls enough?

Hey, look at that new TV!
It's got a plasma screen.
1080p, HDMI…
What does that even mean?

Hey, look at that new camera!
Megapixels out the ear.
USB and memory cards…
Just take the picture, dear!

Hey, look at that new Pez!
Same as it ever was.
Dispensing Pez and looking cool
Will always be a plus.

I don't care about
Dancing or singing; give me
Pezzing With The Stars.

Pez Spring

Quentin

There once was a Pezhead named Quentin
Whose Pez jones was quite unrelentin'.
He'd search through the aisles
For miles and miles
And finding no Pez would torment him.

On My Feet Again (A Dispenserian Sonnet)

O, my collector is a clumsy dude
He always trips on table legs and cords.
He's fallen flat so often I conclude
He must have won some kind of klutz award.
It's no surprise then, I get out of sorts
Whenever he does enter this Pez room.
Yea, as he makes his bumbling way toward,
There is in me a sense of certain doom.
It's to the point now where I do presume
That as he shuffles closer to this shelf,
The domino effect most likely looms
For all the Pez, including my poor self.

But I forgive him, for despite the strain
He always puts me on my feet again.

In a complex world,
The simplicity of Pez
Is a welcome treat.
